Huntley Fall Fest is over but there's still plenty of fall fun this weekend at the St. Charles Scarecrow Fest.

While the annual festival is an exciting, fun event, which runs Friday through Sunday in the downtown area, it has grown to be such an attraction, local officials expect heavy vehicle and pedestrian traffic in the downtown area. That also means crowded streets and limited parking.

The event, which is in its 27^th year, is put on by the St. Charles Convention & Visitors Bureau, has set up a St. Charles Scarecrow Fest website, including a new mobile version this year — last year, the Scarecrow Fest website crashed due to a surge in use — by people with cellphones or other digital devices. Officials say the mobile should ensure a similar crash does not recur this season.
