Rockin' Ribfest Car Show Expected to Draw Large Crowds
The 5th annual car show is free for all attendees and entries and will be held on July 7 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. in Sunset Park.
The 5th annual car show will be held during Rockin’ Ribfest this year on July 7 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. in Sunset Park, 5200 Miller Road in Lake in the Hills.
Free for all attendees and entries, the event always draws a large crowd.
“Literally hundreds of people walk through and look at the cars,” said Gerald Sagona, Lake in the Hills Rotary Club member and village administrator for LITH.
The Lake in the Hills Rotary Club hosts the Rockin' Ribfest, which will run from July 5 through July 7 this year, and will include entertainment and, of course, plenty of ribs for attendees to taste-test.
Sagona estimates that between 100 and 150 cars will be shown, just based on the calls he has received so far. Free soft drinks, plaques and goodies will be provided for all participants.
The following trophies will be awarded to the top cars in various categories including:
- Best in Show
- '59 and Before (1st, 2nd and 3rd)
- '60s/'70s (1st, 2nd and 3rd)
- '80s and after (1st, 2nd and 3rd)
- Import (1st, 2nd and 3rd)
To register your ride, contact Sagona at (847)960-7411 or gsagona@lith.org.
