The Kishwaukee Valley-Eakin Creek Model Railroad Club wrapped up another holiday season with its Holiday Display by thanking supporters and announcing its raffle winners.

The railroad club’s annual holiday display has become a holiday tradition. The club thanked resident and friends for the support it received this year during the holiday railroad display.

“Whether you dropped by just to relive some pleasant memories, brought the grandkids by to maybe talk ‘about the good old days’ growing up and having a toy train or bought a raffle ticket to help our club, we sincerely appreciate you stopping by,” the club’s leadership wrote in an email.

The support has enabled the club to continue the holiday tradition and other events it sponsors throughout the year.

This year’s raffle winners were: Jamie Driscoll, Logan Dane and Art Fitzgerald.

The Kishwaukee Valley-Eakin Creek Model Railroad Club is looking forward to its annual spring open house on May 19 at the Millgrove Woodshop, 13400 Sun City Blvd.

The club did a wonderful job this year. I especially liked the new addition of the Jameson's Restaurant model. Also enjoyed seeing the model cars on display. Connie Nykiel
