The Illinois Tollway will host two public open house meetings to highlight construction work set to begin this spring on the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway (I-90) Rebuilding and Widening Project.
The open houses will be held on Tuesday, March 12 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Huntley Village Hall, 10987 Main St. in Huntley and on Thursday, March 14 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Belvidere Oasis on I-90.
In 2013, construction will begin on the I-90 Rebuilding and Widening Project in the eastbound lanes between Elgin and Rockford, including work on mainline bridges and nine local crossroad bridges.
In addition, work will include ramp reconstruction at the Business U.S. Route 20/State Street Interchange in Rockford.
The Illinois Tollway is also scheduled to complete construction of a new, all-electronic interchange on I-90 at Illinois Route 47 in Huntley.
The open house meetings will provide members of the general public the opportunity to view informational displays, learn about upcoming construction schedules and ask questions about the project that will support economic growth, create jobs and improve access for Tollway customers traveling on I-90 between Elgin and Rockford.
