This is a wonderful addition to Huntley. Let's pray that the lawsuit filed by Mercy and other competitors finds in favor of Centegra and construction can begin in late 2013. We need the 2000 jobs(permanent and construction)for those without employment and to attract new residents(and shoppers)to Huntley. It will be terrific to have a hospital and all of the cottage industries which will evolve from the hospital so close by. Kudos to our current Board for handling this from the start! Mayor Sass does a wonderful job for Huntley and gets things accomplished! Thank you, trustees, for supporting this!

I live right by the dreaded hospital site. I do not feel it is necessary to have a hospital near schools. More traffice-we already have Huntley and nearby residents not obeying the speed limit. Good luck to all the kids who walk home from school. Obesity is a concern for students, but we should request them not to exercise for their safety. There is so much undeveloped land on 47, why not there. I do not even seen the need for it. The 6 times my family has used the immediate care facility-no one-I repeat no one else was in there. The last time my husband used it for a tetnus shot, they wanted to take an xray for a superficial finger cut. Maybe because we have insurance. Very disappointed in the immediate care. Sorely disappointed with Huntley officials pushing this through, especially location. NOT
GOOD PLACEMENT, I wonder did they really find a need or did someone get their hand padded with cash.

I do not live in the immediate area. But the hospital did talk about doing a traffic study, meeting with all of the EMS workers, etc. Why not come to one of the public hearings which will be at the Village Hall and listen to their presentation and then express your concerns? Someone from Southwind sat behind me last night and was happier with their proposed relocation of the hospital than what was originally proposed about where it would be located and facing on the acreage. My concern is the noise which all of us would hear from the helicopter landing on their pad. I also think that there is going to have to be traffic light additions as well as officers or crossing guards handling the children going into the Marlowe campus. For this, I hope that someone from the School Board will be at the hearings and address those worries.

I live right next to the planned site and I am terrifically excited about this opportunity for our village. Have you ever had an emergency and had to drive to Memorial in the middle of the night with a very sick child? I have and it is far too long. Thank you, Centegra.
