Garlands Honor Flight Veterans Share Memorable Day in Washington

The seven Garlands veterans from Barrington (Bill Youngberg, Bucky Ellis, Jack Roche, Ray Wilke, Vette Kell, John Faassen and Gene Seibert) experienced an unforgettable day in Washington D.C. touring the World War II Memorial and the nation’s capital as honored guests of Honor Flight Chicago last week on July 11.
The World War II veterans received a Heroes’ welcome home and, as the photos show, they had an emotional and moving experience.
