Elected Officials Trade In Suit And Tie For Firefighting Gear

Elected officials from all across McHenry County participated in a fire ground operations orientation Friday.

McHenry County Fire Chief’s Association and McHenry County Fire
Trustee’s Association gave elected officials from all across the area a chance to see what it's like to be a firefighter Friday.

Elected officials started the day with lessons on safety, fire training and learning about new technologies in firefighting. Next they had the chance to participate in hands-on fire and EMS exercises at the Ruth Firefighter Training Facility in Huntley.
