Dad Charged with DUI, Endangering Kids

Woodstock man charged with endangerment in Huntley police reports released this week.

Police stopped a Woodstock man on a traffic violation and discovered he was under the influence of alcohol as he drove with his family, according to Huntley police reports.

Jeremiah D. Geishert, 25, of 1235 Pond Point, was arrested and charged April 24 with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol level over .08 and two counts of endangering the life/health of a child, police said.

He was also cited improper turn, disregarding a traffic control light, improper lane use, driving an uninsured motor vehicle, and two counts of failure to notify the Illinois Secretary of State of an address change, reports stated.

According to police, Geishert had his wife and two children in the car with him. He posted bond and was released with McHenry County court date of May 20.

-A white male wearing a black hooked coat, red T-shirt, blue jeans and black shoes reportedly stole a donation container from a business on April 23 in the 12400 block of Princeton Drive, police said. The clerk did not know how much money was in the container or the name of the charity, reports stated.

-Robert F. Garcelon, 47, of 11981 Oakcrest, Huntley, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol on April 23 and was cited for illegal transportation of alcohol and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, according to police. Garcelon posted bond and was released with a McHenry County court date of May 27

-A Huntley High School student reported his Nook e-Reader was stolen from his locker at the school, 13719 Harmony Road, on April 18, police said.

-A resident in the 12300 block of Fox Run Court, reported a piece of jewelry was stolen from a home on April 18, according to reports.

-Police charged a 15-year-old Huntley boy with retail theft on April 18, reports stated. The teen is accused of stealing an item from the Huntley High School cafeteria, police said.

-Someone took a bottle of change from an open garage in the 9900 block of Chetwood Drive on April 18, reports stated.

-A backpack was stolen on April 18 near the intersection of Wheatlands Way and Allegheny Pass, reports stated.

-Johnny D. Lynch, 35, of 12608 Oak Grove, Huntley, was arrested on an outstanding Cook County warrant on April 19, police said. Lynch was turned over to Hanover Park Police for transport to Cook County bond court.

-A burglar broke a basement window and stole a weight lifting set from a home in the 11300 block of Fleetwood St. on April 20, police said.

-Electronics and cash were stolen from a business in the 10400 block of Route 47 on April 21, according to police. An estimated cash value of the merchandise was not released.

-An attempted residential burglary report was taken in the 13200 block of Bittersweet Lane on April 21, police said.  Unknown subjects damaged the front door of the residence while attempting pry the door open.

-A custom- made skateboard rail was stolen from a driveway in the 9800 block of Aberdeen Lane sometime between April 19 and April 21, police said.

-An unknown suspect made unauthorized online purchases to a Huntley resident’s credit card, police said. The fraud report was taken in the 10000 block of Thornton Way on April 22, reports stated.

-Someone broke the front passenger side window of a vehicle parked at a business in the 10400 block of Algonquin Road on April 22 and stole a purse, according to reports.
