Couple Arrested After Selling Drugs to Cops
McHenry County 20-year-olds were stopped shortly after the sale.
A drug sale went terribly wrong for two McHenry County residents.
Twenty-year-olds David V. Cwiak and Michael L. Reardon sold drugs to McHenry County Sheriff's Deputies Feb. 3 and were pulled over in the Lakemoor area shortly after their sale, according to the Sheriff's Office.
The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Intelligence Led Policing Unit and K-9 Unit made the traffic stop and located approximately 1.3 grams of cannabis, 123 prescription pills, multiple items of drug paraphernalia, packaging material and $456.
The Sheriff's Office estimates the street value of the drugs seized at $655.
Cwiak, of 38417 6th Ave. in Spring Grove, was charged with Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Class 2), Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class 4) and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Class A).
Reardon, of 10004 Maiden Ln. in Richmond, was charged with Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Class 2), Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class 4), Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Class A) and Unlawful Possession of Cannabis (Class C).
Both were arrested without incident.
Bond for both has not been set.
