The McHenry County coroner’s office released its findings in the July 1 accident on Davis Road, in Woodstock, that left two 16-year-olds dead, the Northwest Herald reports.
Jacob S. Norys and Alec J. Kaiser were pronounced dead at the scene. The two were wearing seatbelts and airbags did deploy. The coroner found no drugs or alcohol in the teens’ system, but authorities believe speed contributed to the accident, the Northwest Herald reports.
